PRODUCTION VALUE IN MALTA
From January 6 to 14, 2012 took place in Malta the 6th edition of this workshop dedicated to the art and craft of scheduling and budgeting feature films. It gathered together 32 film professionals from 16 European countries. Over the last decades, Malta has attracted numerous film & TV productions from all over the world, including the Mediterranean Film Studios' famous watertanks, where the Workshop's core group was photographed on January 9th.

For the 2012 edition, 11 young professionals from 9 countries (out of the 52 applications from 18 countries) were selected (7 women and 4 men):

The following Seniors led the scheduling and budgeting process of 6 film projects in development and financing:

6 European production companies brought their film project to the 2012 edition of the workshop. 7 Producers and 3 Directors joined the workshop for the last 2 days to discuss the results of the Juniors and the Seniors:

British Film Guarantor Ali Moshref and Maltese Location Manager Matthew Camilleri held the position of Observers.

Production Value is a training initiative organized by FOCAL (Switzerland) in coproduction with the Austrian Film Institute (Vienna), the Norwegian Film Institute (Oslo) and the Swedish Film Institute (Stockholm), with the support of MEDIA TRAINING, a program of the European Union. Swiss filmmaker Denis Rabaglia is Head of Studies for the 6th year. The partners wish to thank the Malta Film Commission for its welcome and Falkun Films for its services.
